This CEFR A1 course introduces Spanish from scratch. You will encounter the Spanish sound system, the core grammar framework, and vocabulary for the most basic everyday situations.
What you will study- Spanish vowel sounds and pronunciation rules
- Noun and adjective gender and number agreement
- Ser versus estar: two verbs for "to be"
- Present tense of regular and key irregular verbs
- Core vocabulary for greetings, family, numbers, and daily objects
- Understand and use familiar everyday expressions
- Introduce yourself and others
- Communicate in a simple way when the other person is cooperative and speaks slowly
